LINE ESSENTIAL OILS
Essential oils are a vast group of substances insoluble in water, produced from aromatic plants and extracts from these by distillation. Their essential feature is that they are volatile, that is, on the contrary of the stable oils, such as food, evaporate easily. The aromatic plants produce essential oils to attract insects and make it to reproduce by means of pollen or to drive away the harmful ones. The oils serve the plants also to defend against fungal attacks by bacteria and is also a means of communication between similar species. These substances can be concentrated in different parts of the plant (flower, leaf, stem, fruit, bark, roots) and the amount depends on the climate and the area where it is grown or collected. The therapeutic potential of essential oils has not yet been estimated comprehensively, although their use is known since the days of the Egyptians. Modern research has confirmed the popular beliefs and in the last century have specialized specific techniques for using Essential oil such as aromatherapy, in order to heal and bring benefits to the body and mind.
